Charlie goes to the Nationals (Louisville, KY)
Charlie, CA Ch Long Lane Dark & Stormy Night, travelled to the WSSCA Nationals held in Louisville, KY March 2023. She won her first major by going WB on Sunday, March 19th. One major down, one major and 10 points to go!!
Introducing … Java (CA CH Clussexx Cafe Jumping Bean)
A quick trip to Chicago O’Hare for research also resulted in a new WSS puppy coming to Canada. Java, who does jump around when in the ring, lives with me in NS and is co-owned with Jeane Haverick & Kayleigh Gonzales. He completed his Canadian CH and will start his AKC Ch when he has matured some.
Bliss, CH Long Lane Heart of My Heart
Bliss travelled well in August 2022 to Ontario to gain her Canadian CH. This girl has her father Quinn’s wonderful temperament and her mother Pippin’s structure. She is often overlooked in the WSS pack because of her kind demeanour but she will always let you know she’s around by cuddling up to you at all times. November 2022
Charlie, CH Long Lane Dark & Stormy Night, a new Canadian Champ
Charlie took a trip to Ontario and gained her Canadian Championship with points to spare. Here, the ad created by Sabrina Gauthier. Charlie is now at home in NS awaiting a season during which she will be bred (finally). This girl is an imp, with a strong hunting drive she has from her mother Harlow, and great structure she gained from her father Tom. I’m excited for her future! November 2022
Dante’s Ad
It is customary (well, a more recent custom/invented tradition) that an advertisement is made whenever a Long Lane dog reachs a milestone. Here is Dante’s — celebrating his recent AKC Championship. This ad, expertly done by Sabrina @ Cerveau Droit Designs, has been featured in Canadian Dog Fancier and will be in one of the WSSCA’s Starter Barks issues. Well done Donna & Dante!
Butter is a CH!
Thanks to the expert handling of Butter by Roxanne & Jessy Sutton, Butter is now known in the dog world as AKC CH Long Lane Ahead of the Storm. She gained her final points in NJ in May 2022, has taken the summer off, and will visit Canada for her breeding program. Tara, Sloane, Max, & Ari Zlotkin has been with her through her CH from the beginning. She is an amazing girl, out of Emma and Quinn, and is joyful to have around.Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
New AKC CH — Dante!
Dante (Ca CH Long Lane Helmsman Sent From Heaven) traveled to the Celtic Classic cluster in York, PA to compete over 5 days. Dante went WD for all 5 days and BOW for 4 of those days. He finished his AKC CH with 4 majors and points to spare. Here, he is with Katie Bernadin with Judge Ann Yahusz on his first day of shows. Sunday, he strutted his stuff and enjoyed being in the ring with his favourite handler Katie Bernardin. Co-owner Donna Matheson is over the moon with his successes. March 2022
Butter wins!
….. Her first major, that is.
The lovely Butter (Long Lane Ahead of the Storm) traveled with the Suttons to York, PA in March 2022 for the Celtic Classic dog show. On Thursday, she went Winner’s Bitch for her first major (4 points). Now, she sits @ 6 points and will finish her CH soon. Expertly handled by Jessy, Roxanne & Charlize Sutton. March 2022
Bos’n is a GCH!!!
He did it! Bos’n is a GRAND CHAMPION. Long Lane Boatswain’s Mate at HMS Halsted became an AKC C CH after attending the Somerset cluster shows in September 2021. Handler Katie Bernardin steered him towards this newest award. Now, Bos’n remains the favourite couch dog for Joan and Patrick Barrett in Hingham, MA. September 2021

Long Lane Helmsman Sent from Heaven (Dante) became a champion with the majority of points garnered rom group placements. He will now work on his AKC CH (he has first major) once the border opens. March 2020
Bos’n gains his AKC Championship
Long Lane Boatswain’s Mate at HMS Halsted became a AKC CH after going BOB with Lorraine Bisso @ Wrentham. He is now working on his Grand Championship with Handler Katie Bernardin. And he remains a couch favourite for Joan and Patrick Barrett in Hingham, MA. March 2019.
The boys go to New Jersey
A meeting of the brothers occurred at the Bridgewater, NJ cluster shows September 2019. Bos’n met up with Dante and both showed well. Bos’n is now CH Long Lane Boatswain’s Mate at HMS Halsted by going WD/BOW at the Tuxedo show. Not to be outdone, Dante (Long Lane Helmsman Sent from Heaven) earned his first major (4 points) by going WD/BOW at the Somerset show. Then, at the Westchester show, Bos’n started his GCH by going Select while Dante went WD/BOW for additional points. September 2019.

The boys go to the Nationals
Dante (Long Lane Helmsman Sent from Heaven) and Bos’n (Long Lane Boatswain’s Mate at HMS Halsted) both attended the 2019 WSSCA Nationals in Wisconsin. This was their first National experience and they did well. Bos’n went 1st in 12-18 months dogs on the Friday Supported Entry; Bos’n and Dante went 2nd and 3rd in the 12-15 month Sweeps on Saturday; Bos’n went 1st in the 12-18 month regular classes with Dante going 4th in the Open Classes @ the Speciality. Emma Sue goes to the Nationals …. and does well.
CH Clussexx Ahead of Her Time (Emma) went to the Nationals in Ashville, NC and showed like a champ! She came 1st in her 6-9 month class twice and went Reserve Winners Bitch on Monday, May 30th. We trturned to NS via NYC for her to continue her training. May 2017
Long Lane @ The Oaks, PA
Pippin (CH Long Lane’s Promise to Limberlost) and Harlow (Don’s Cirque du Soleil) travelled to tiny town PA to attend the Oaks Dog Show in November 2016. Harlow gained two 3-point majors on Thursday and Friday going BOS. Pippin gained more GCH points by going SB on Saturday. November 2016
Harlow Best Baby Puppy in Show
Harlow had just arrived to Canada from Sweden and won Best Baby Puppy in Show at one of the Evangeline Kennel Club 2015 shows. The ribbon is bigger than she is ….. but well appreciated nonetheless. June 2015
